SOLE SEPARATION
Over time, exposure to heat, humidity, and regular motion may cause the adhesive to become brittle, shrink, and separate. We offer resole (re-glue) free of charge within 12 months from the purchase date. Please note, customers are responsible for shipping fees.
COLOR TRANSFER
Genuine leather is dyed to achieve the desired shade. Due to its absorbent nature, it may transfer color when exposed to water for a long time or to seawater. This is a natural property, not a manufacturing defect.
STRAP STRETCHING/CREASING
Genuine leather is made from collagen and elastin fibers, so it has a natural stretch and adapts to repeated bending. Over time, the straps will stretch slightly and get creases in areas that bend a lot, like the instep. This is a natural property of leather, not a defect.
EDGE CRACKING
While leather straps can stretch over time, painted edges do not have the same flexibility, so they may crack in areas that bend or flex often.
Edge cracking does not affect the structure of the straps. Waa. offers free edge repainting within 6 months of purchase. Please note, customers are responsible for shipping fees.
Note: Repainted edges may not look brand-new, as the new layer is applied over the old one. If the leather has aged or the cracks are deep, the paint may not adhere well and could peel again.
EXTRA NOTE
Light-colored soles may get dirty or show footprints more easily. Keep this in mind when choosing a color for everyday wear.
