THE MAKING OF BUN & KEO

Meet Bun & Keo: Most loved sandals from waa.ers

We named the "Bun" because the sandals' round toe looks just like a steamed bun, while "Keo" is shortened from "Kẹp Béo" which translated to "chubby flip-flops" in English. Both sandals feature thick strap and cushioned sole for unparalleled comfort. With their interesting look and ability to pair with any casual outfit, these sandals have won the heart of many waa.ers and are now our most popular styles.

CHOOSING FABRIC

It always starts from scratch by looking for the finest leather piece, handpicking only those that possess the perfect balance of softness and durability. With a steady hand, the craftsmen sketch and cut the outline of the sandal's strap, transforming it into shapes and forms. Following the cutting, the piece got its edges refined. Precision is crucial in this step to ensure a clean and accurate outcome.

ABOUT THE SOLE

Bun and Keo are privileged to be our very first products to feature a cushioned footbed sole, with the height of 3 cm, making it subtly stand out from our classics. The journey of sole-making starts by heating the sole at the precise heat before applying glue to ensure consistency. Then, the wrapping process will be carried out — all these steps are done entirely by hand. Afterwards, our subtly branded logo is imprinted.

FINISHING TOUCH
The sole then is delicately prepared to receive its strap and encounter a final quality inspectation process before they are deemed for sale.

What sets us apart is that all of our sandals are handcrafted from start to finish. The dedication of the craftsman lies in a keen eye for details as well as the years of experience and honed skills. From the initial stage to the final touch, each step is executed from hand to hand with meticulous care and precision.
